But here’s a lesson learned for you.
I have a lovely customer – she’s actually a friend – most of my customers become that!
I designed a logo for her when she reached out last year with a I NEED HELP message. “I’m in tears” was her message.
She had a Cease and Desist put upon her.
Why?
Because her logo that she went to one of these sites for was ‘copied’ from someone else’s business. A BIG online coach.
Now, here’s the thing. I am not ‘bitching’ about these types of sites. But what I am telling you is that you literally get what you pay for.
Fast turnaround, no discovery session, no real direction, no focus and a template design. PLUS you get a logo in one file type you can’t use offline, so if you are a shop there is no way you can get signage, and if you want a pop up banner for your crafty business and you wanna blow it up to billboard size – forget it.
You get no follow up support. No information or advice on how to make your brand shine. No guidelines… do you want me to go on?
I don’t do $5 logos. I am not your ordinary graphic designer, I don’t sit and churn out logos. I speak differently than most graphic designers. I create brands that stand the test of time and capture the very essence of ‘you’ in it. I stand out cause I know my stuff and I blooming love branding. My very own brand is magnetic and other women get drawn to it because of me, the way I speak, act, write… I create brands that get people talking – I created my own and I do the same for others. Making them look professional, open for business and making them more money in their biz.
Does a $5 logo designer do any of this with you – eh no!
The worst part about this for my client is that she had actually launched. She has invested a lot of money in her business elsewhere.
If you are fully invested in your business and your clients. Do your business the right way.
If you invest in $5 logo now you will invest again later in 2,3 or 6 months from now. I know this for a fact. I see and hear it all the time.
It’s a costly gamble to take.
